That our current political and economic civilization is doomed? That it is mathematically and physically unsustainable? That it is even now in the process of collapsing like the “house of cards” it is? Yet it is all true.
The chaos and pandemonium that is coming is not going to be the end of the world, or some biblical inevitable “apocalypse”, but simply the inexorable consequences of “cause and effect”. We, or those we choose to lead us, have done it all to ourselves. The Gulf Oil volcano that is killing the ecosystems along the entire Gulf from Mexico to the Florida Keys and beyond, is about nothing but material greed, exploitation, acquisition of power – money.
The US military presence in the Middle East (Afghanistan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Israel, Jordan, etc) has many pretenses, but behind them all lie control of natural resources, particularly oil, and religious Zionism – the mistaken belief that “God” favors certain “chosen peoples” over has other children. The monstrous atrocities that are occurring as a result of US involvement go far beyond Abu Ghraib. But war is good business, and when different branches of the same family sell guns and ammo to all of the various combatants, its even better. We still haven’t learned the difference between defense and offense when it comes to profitable wars.
Climate change, the accelerated release of hydrocarbons, carbon dioxide, methane, and other “greenhouse gasses, melting glacial and polar ice, changing global oceanic currents that cool or warm the planet all threaten our very habitat on this planet – human survival itself. We are rapidly reaching, and may have already reached a “tipping point” in an accelerating cycle of change we may be unable to stop.
Why are we doing these suicidal things? Are we collectively insane? In a very real sense, perhaps we are, or at least our leaders and decision-makers could be. But if this is true, how could it be happening? How could so many people be so tragically and self-destructively deceived?
The answer may lie in those cultural institutions that affect us, our minds and spirits, our attitudes, values and goals the most. What are these things? What are the means by which culture, values, mores, ethics, and beliefs are passed from one generation to another? Let’s list some of them: parents, siblings, families, education, schools, media, videos, films, games, music, TV, radio, newspapers, magazines, textbooks, the internet, and all the stories, myths, records, fables, histories, theories, adventures, hopes, and dreams, etc. These are some of the things that make up our paradigms of what we consider to the “real”, or “true”. What IS “real” or “true”? Are our thoughts about reality, our ultimate values, conditioned by those that control our main institutions? What runs those institutions: schools, publishers, Hollywood film studios, recording labels, television stations, cable companies, satellite services, etc? The answer is “MONEY”. And who controls the money? Banks and Financiers. Wall Street, City of London, International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank, BIS and so on.
So let me ask, if nearly all the wealth and money is controlled by very few people (and this IS the case) then wouldn’t “they” have a huge influence on what people think, believe and the way they behave? Those who control the money and wealth control (or influence) everything we see on tv, hear on the radio, read in books (including textbooks), see and do in schools, the industries we work in, the levels of employment, conditions of employment, and most other things you can think of. Now consider that your parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents, etc., have also been conditioned (although perhaps not in the same ways or degrees) by these same money-brokers/controllers, and you may begin to get a hazy piece of the big picture.
Jesus of Nazareth said that at the end of this age “many will be deceived”. It seems that “many” may have been an understatement! Even most that know enough to realize they’ve been deceived seldom know exactly how and by whom. This was acknowledged hundreds of years ago by the original modern Central Bankers in London.
“The few who can understand the (monetary) system (of checks, money and credits) will either be so interested in its profits, or so dependent on its favors, that there will be no opposition from that class, while on the other hand, the great body of the people, mentally incapable of comprehending the tremendous advantage that capital derives from the system, will bear its burdens without complaint, and perhaps without even suspecting that the system is inimical to their interest. “ — ROTHSCHILD BROTHERS OF LONDON The historical record is filled with other revelations about money and banking that almost nobody but the top bankers know.
To those who have seen the film, “The Matrix” can think of our current world situation in very similar terms. In fact all of the major heroic sagas of the past century have drawn their success from the conscious or subconscious recognition in them of the plight of our own world, even though the exact cause-effect relationship may not be recognized. Some of these are Star Wars, Tolkien’s “Lord of the Rings”, Wizard of Oz, Total Recall, and others too numerous to list. All are of the Light Vs Dark theme, but few explicitly draw the relationship between the dark forces and those who control and issue the MONEY.
That’s the relationship I’d most like to emphasize here. Jesus’ only act approaching violence (although he harmed no one) was in driving the “money changers” (bankers) out of the temple at Jerusalem. He realized the insidious relationship between entrenched power and the control of money, and its encroachment on the personal relationship between man and God.
If we have indeed “doomed” a part of our current civilization, then we must replace it with something better, or the cycle will only be repeated. It will be repeated as many times as is needed in order for man to learn to live in harmony with the laws of the universe, and create a society that pleases our Creator. That would be one that properly utilizes all the laws of universal creation: Attraction, Intention, Allowance and Harmony (balance).
The end of one thing is often necessary to prepare the way for the beginning of something better. Perhaps we are approaching a time of “new beginnings”? If we are, then what “better ways” can you imagine?
